Parcel shipping in the Abacus Order Processing software
The fully integrated solution for parcel shipment allows customers to record and process consignments easily and efficiently. The consignments can be registered with the provider, e.g. the post office. This automatically provides the Abacus system with the shipping labels and tracking number required for further processing.
Parcel shipment can be used to create one or more consignments based on a customer order. The system automatically uses the order details, such as the recipient address.
Allocation of packages
For consignments created from orders, the items contained in the order can be assigned to the individual packages. This makes it possible to trace which items were dispatched with which package. In the event of customer enquiries, the system can provide information on when a particular product was due to arrive or, in the event of a lost package, to know exactly which products have been lost.
Simple browser-based interface
A simple, modern browser-based interface in MyAbacus is available for entering data. Frequently used providers and service types, e.g. Economy or Prio etc., can also be defined as defaults. As an alternative to manual entry in MyAbacus, BPE process activities are available for automated processing.
Interface to Swiss Post
Parcels can be transmitted and registered via an interface to the Swiss Post. As soon as a parcel has been transmitted, you will receive a label and a tracking number for each parcel. The label can be printed out and attached to the parcel. The tracking number will be communicated to the customer, e.g. by e-mail.

Sales / Order

Entry of consignment and parcel data in the MyAbacus portal via a simple, modern browser-based interface.
Provider
Consignments can be sent to the provider via an interface, e.g. to Swiss Post, and registered. Once the packages have been sent, you will receive a label and tracking number for each package. The shipping label required for further processing can be attached to the parcel and the tracking number can be communicated to the customer, e.g. by e-mail
