Göksel Akgünes, how is Abacus Business Software used at Swissgas?
Göksel Akgünes: At Swissgas, we use Financial Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable as well as the Assets Ledger. We also use E-Business, Invoicing in Order Processing and Service Recording in Project Management.
How does Abacus E-Business make a difference?
GA: E-Business is used for the automated processing of Swisscom invoices. We receive numerous recurring invoices from Swisscom every month. With Abacus, we have introduced a lean and efficient process. The QR reference is used to generate the correct account assignment. After processing in E-Business, the invoices are automatically transferred to Accounts Payable and from there to the payment run. The invoices are then filed and digitally archived.
How are physical invoices processed?
GA: Physical invoices can be imported into the accounting system using the Abacus AbaScan function. The invoice is scanned and linked to the booking. The invoice is then filed in the dossier.

How long have you been using E-Business and why did you choose Abacus?
GA: We have been using the application for around ten years. The solution is ideal for recurring invoices. We can save cost types and cost centres resulting in saved time. Instead of entering 50 Swisscom invoices per month individually, with E-Business you can book everything with just a few clicks.
What are the advantages of using the software?
GA: The most important advantages are certainly the time savings and efficiency. The process is also fully automated, so we no longer need paper.
Do you recommend E-Business to others?
GA: Yes, we are very satisfied with Abacus and the software for conducting e-business and can recommend it to others.
Are there other implementations of Abacus products planned?
GA: In future, we will manage our ordering and purchasing process in Abacus, i.e. we will further expand the use of the Order Processing application. This means that all orders will be processed via Abacus.
